Not-so-shocking: MTV stunt involving Eminem, Bruno fake

It may be shocking to some that a stunt involving comedian Sacha Baron Cohen at the MTV Movie Awards was, in fact, just that -- a stunt.

Rapper Eminem has finally come clean, telling Rap Radar that he was in on the joke. If you didn't watch the show -- seriously, who does? -- Cohen's Austrian gay fashion journalist alter-ego Bruno dropped down from the ceiling in a buttocks-revealing angel costume (see photo above) on top of the supposedly unsuspecting rapper. In his best acting job playing himself since "8 Mile," Eminem feigns genuine outrage, then walks out in a stream of curses with his entourage, leaving Cohen hanging.

And, it was all planned. Em tells Rap Radar that "Sacha called me when we were in Europe and he had an idea to do something outrageous at the Movie Awards. I'm a big fan of his work so I agreed to get involved with the gag."Apparently it worked out so well that Emimen went back to his hotel and "laughed uncontrollably for about 3 hours."

You may have already seen the video, but it is worth rewatching if just to see the bewildered looks on "High School Musical" stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens' faces. The gag may have been staged, but the audience reaction clearly was not.

I can't embed the video, thanks to this new platform we're trying out at Channel Surfing, but here's the link.
