It's a fact: "Kids in the Hall" coming to Green Bay
Well, I didn't end up going to their live show last Saturday in Milwaukee. I chose Vampire Weekend for my first spring road trip.
Yes, that may have been foolish coming from someone who claims to love "The Eradicator" as much as I do, but now it looks like that choice was the right one.
On June 1, the Kids are bringing their "Live as We'll Ever Be" tour to the Weidner Center at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay.
Bruce, Scott, Mark, Dave and Kevin. In Green Bay. Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Green Bay, Wisconsin where I live.
I gotta tell you, I didn't see this one coming. I know that we're kinda close to Canada and all, but really, with one show in Milwaukee and two in Madison later this month, there shouldn't be much incentive to come to Green Bay -- where high comedy is a racist Larry the Cable Guy joke.
But they are. And someone at the Weidner deserves a big, fat raise.
Tickets are on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. No prices have been announced, but the Milwaukee show was $35. Check out the UWGB ticket office for more information or call (920) 465-2217. The Kids' entire tour schedule, along with a quick troupe Q&A, can be found on MySpace.
Longtime fans also might want to check this brief chat about the Kids and their connection with Kurt Cobain.
