Week 4: "Top Chef" Power Rankings

Even though Bravo messed with our routine by taking a week off, the unannounced move didn't ruin Evan Siegle's winning streak.

Our newest "power ranker" scored another five points after picking Sickly Jen to win the Elimination Challenge. Also picking Jen: Adam, MJ and Ms. Q.

Finally, Evan, Sara, Thomas, MJ and Kelly all grabbed a point for picking Lumberjack Kevin in the Quickfire ... so no more zeroes.

As for He-She Ashley, after stringing together a few solid outings, her gnocchi got her gnocked out of the competition. Get it? Gnocked? Gnocchi. Ah, forget it.

Ashley, you were one of the more memorable "Top Chef" contestants in recent memory. Unfortunately, that has nothing to do with your food and everything to do with your resemblance to a young Paul Westerberg from the Replacements. "Closer than you know, love each other so ... androgynous." Sing it with me, 'Mats fans!

Also, as a tasty bonus, Thomas Rozwadowski spoke with Season Five "Top Chef" winner (and newly christened Channel Surfing favorite, ahem) Hosea Rosenberg this morning. Hosea will be in Wisconsin next week at the Kohler Food & Wine Experience along with Jacques Pepin, Andrew Zimmern, Marcus Samuelsson and Lidia Matticchio Bastianich. Look for that interview in the coming days.

How it all shakes out: Evan, 16; Ms. Q, 10; Sara, 6; Thomas, 6; MJ, 6; Mary, 6; Adam, 5; Kelly, 1.

Holy F, Batman! How did I miss this post? All day Wednesday I waited for the Top Chef post so I could add my rankings, and I never saw it appear. Methinks douchebaggery on the part of my 5-year-old laptop is to blame.

And I was doing so well as the first runner up...that's worth a $75 scholarship to the vo-tech of my choice...

Ms. Q ... I'll use your rankings from the previous week out of fairness.

This link: http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/ic/blogs/channelsurfing/2009/10/week-4-top-chef-power-rankings.html shows all of the past posts very well. This one is a link I have bookmarked from long ago.

This one: http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?category=blogs050501 gives me trouble, and the posts don't always show up or in order. For this one I navigate to Channel Surfers using GBPG's homepage and use the Flash App with all the blogs to click on the Channel Surfers link...

Ms. Q: Always use the first bookmark. We basically have two blogs for promotional purposes -- one runs on Blogger and the other on Pluck (the second link) because that's what the Press-Gazette Web site uses.

Long story short: We were one of the first PG blogs on Blogger and all of us didn't want to get rid of it when our bosses asked because, frankly, we like working with the template so much more. Therefore, we only post periodically on the Pluck one because it gives us front page promotion. So it's a compromise, basically.

Always come to the Blogger one. It's the first one we update.
