The Lonely Island -- Incredibad drops today!

"Saturday Night Live" funnyman Andy Samberg plus "SNL" writers, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone, aka: The Lonely Island, have officially entered the music realm.

Creators and masterminds of such brilliant songs as ... um, [searching brain for an appropriate song title for this blog ... ] uh, new hit "I'm On a Boat" and classic favorite "Lazy Sunday (The Chronicles -- wha!? -- of Narnia)" have unleashed their creative fury on a new album called "Incredibad," which officially dropped today.

The trio came together in 2001 but have been "besties" since their junior high days in Berkeley, California. After high school, the three detached hips and went their separate ways for college -- each studying film or theater.

Thankfully for the YouTube and "SNL" viewing audience, the group of odd-looking misfits (let's be honest) rejoined forces and dubbed themselves "The Lonely Island," starting with a round of online videos and progressing to take over the "SNL" Digital Short. The story about, er, a guy who gives his significant other a present, um, with a special surprise in the box, even won an Emmy.

With an impressive collaboration list including T-Pain, Natalie Portman, Jack Black and, of course, Justin Timberlake, "The Lonely Island" unleashed its debut album in the form of potty humor and wee-wee jokes for an adult audience. "Incredibad" includes classics and a few new tunes from the boys. Since I can't say any more about the band, or their music, without using words that would undoubtedly be censored, I'll just go pick up the album and enjoy. The CD also includes a DVD of their "SNL" music videos.
