Liz Lemon = Sarah Palin

Rumors proved true as former head writer/cast member Tina Fey returned to "Saturday Night Live" as Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in the show's opening skit. "SNL" might not be in the best shape 34 seasons in, but they still have some political chops -- as Fey (who NAILED Palin's voice) and Amy Poehler (hiding her baby bump) demonstrate below:

Tina Fey's Palin voice is almost too accurate. Creepy.

This opening skit was hi-larious. Unfortunately the rest of the show sucked.

Agreed. And it wasn't the fault of Michael Phelps. They killed the opening sketch, so I guess it doesn't matter. Though that'll likely mean Tina Fey has to show up every week as Palin from now to the election.

I love Tina Fey. I hope she's back everyweek to play Palin. They should bring back Ferrell to play Bush, too.
