Sanford and Son
Knight Rider
The Monkees
Jeopardy (but it's no Family Feud hoedown)
Flintstones
X-Files (captures the mood of the show perfectly)
Hill Street Blues
Mission Impossible (barely)

How about Lost in Space vs. MST3K

1.WKRP in Cincinnati -- love me that Fever!
2. Greatest American Hero -- come on, it was even a radio hit!
3. Monkees -- they started it all, man. Who are these Beatles everyone keeps talking about?
4. Jeopardy -- because it's ingrained in our heads now
5. Simpsons -- because Danny is the Man
6. X-Files -- my one true love...
7. Hill Street Blues -- the calming music of the crime ridden streets
8. Mission Impossible -- even if it does bring horrible visions of Tom Cruise to my mind

Great job with the picks, Adam. Votes first.

1. Sanford and Son
2. Knight Rider (as much as the "Seinfeld" parody amuses me, I have to go with the Hoff)
3. The Monkees
4. Jeopardy!
5. The Simpsons (Two classics, but gotta go with Elfman)
6. X-Files
7. Hill Street Blues (No contest)
8. Hawaii 5-0

Future considerations?

* Charles in Charge vs. Full House (sorry, that's for the worst TV theme song of all time)
* Batman (Na na na na na na na na ... Leader)
* Welcome Back Kotter (I'm pretty sure it became a John Sebastian hit after he wrote it for the show)
* Twin Peaks (Maybe too limited in its run, but absolutely haunting)
* Cheers
* And maybe it's just me, but I always crack up at the What's Happening!!! theme song. Long live Rerun!

This is excellent.

1. "WKRP" (although it breaks my heart to vote against "Sanford and Son")
2. "The Greatest American Hero"
3. "The Monkees"
4. "Jeopardy!"
5. "The Flintstones" (tough choice)
6. "The X-Files"
7. "Hill Street Blues"
8. "Mission: Impossible" (edges out "Hawaii Five-O" because of its 5-4 time signature)

You stole my thunder with Batman, Tommy. The fact that Homer finally gets brainwashed by the Movementarians because they sang it, makes it #1 in my book. Plus I watched it in reruns every Sunday morning growing up. Pure West.

The Andy Griffith Show has to be a contender even though I can't whistle.

Who will Tommy vote for in a battle between Zoobilee Zoo vs. The Banana Splits or The Great Space Coaster and Today's Special? Ahhh memories.

Matchups:
1-WKRP. Sing-along factor.
2-Hero.
3-Monkees.
4-Jep. Even used at Lambeau Field.
5-Flintstones, for the sing-along factor.
6-Trek.
7-Hill Street-groundbreaking in its day.
8-This is the equivalent of Duke vs. North Carolina in the first round. Two of the best ever. But Mission wins because there's a whole Lalo Schifrin goin' on.
