Thursday, February 7, 2008Manitowoc native looks to outwit on 'Survivor'If you're tuning into tonight's premiere of "Survivor: Micronesia -- Fans vs. Favorites,'' check out Kathleen Sleckman. She's the Manitowoc native playing on the tribe made up of super fans of the show. The 1980 Lincoln High School grad now lives in Glen Ellyn, Ill., with her husband, 6-year-old daughter and dog. In an interview with the Herald Times Reporter in Manitowoc, she describes herself as "pretty hyper. I've got a lot of energy. ... I try to be funny. Sometimes it goes over well, sometimes it doesn't. I think it was my energy (that got her on the show) and my big guns, my muscles.'' On her profile on the "Survivor'' Web site, the former bartender and plumber describes herself as "intellectually astute, sarcastically witty and a tad bit shallow.''
