Oscar Mayer and two of the best commercial jingles ever
Oscar G. Mayer, grandson of Oscar Mayer Foods founder Oscar F. Mayer and former chairman of the Madison-based meat company, died today at 95, according to the Associated Press.
Oscar Mayer, now a unit of Kraft, is best known for its bologna and wieners. And you know why, because you're likely humming one of their classic commercial jingles right now, aren't you?
It's a rare thing for a company to have such a memorable melody associated with its product. But two? Well, that deserves a Channel Surfing You Tube salute. Enjoy.
