Ricky Gervais has a new show in mind

Fans of the original "The Office" rejoice: Ricky Gervais says he's working on a new TV show.

In an exclusive interview with movie review site supreme RottenTomatoes.com, Gervais -- who also created the hit BBC/HBO show "Extras," as well as produces the slightly less great American "Office" -- dropped hints as to what the show will be about: a workplace comedy.

According to RT, Gervais' plan is to spin off a movie he's working on with "Office" co-creator Stephen Merchant called "The Man From the Pru," which "will follow a group of twenty-somethings in the 1970s as they waste their lives while working at the Prudential building society." The show, Gervais says, could end up being called "The Men From the Pru," and "could be a prequel ... slightly more sitcom and less epic."

Gervais gave no start date for the project -- he's currently finishing another movie, "This Side of the Truth," with the "Pru" movie his next project -- and given the time delay that comes with American airings of BBC shows, we may end up waiting awhile before seeing if the Gervais genius can strike a third time.
